This Aberdeen registered brig, under the command of Captain McHardy, was outward bound for the Kooria Mooria Islands, in ballast when she went ashore on Duncansby Head. The Inverness Courier reported that; "considerable peculation of the stores has taken place.....wine, beef, tobacco and even a living pig have suddenly disappeared".
The Favourite was expected to become a total wreck although sails, rigging and stores were also landed. She was later sold.
